Foundation

Players of the Stage is founded on the belief in a personal God who created the universe and all the of the arts. Because of this belief, we pursue excellence in art as a means of obedience to our God and as a way of exploring and exposing His truth and blessing our community. In everything that we do, we acknowledge that God is the Master Playwright. Any accomplishments or success we may attain come from His blessing.

 

Theory

We employ bits of all different theatrical theories as different methods work better for different actors, but we rely heavily on Meisner's work, especially as outlined by Larry Silverberg. In addition to theories that have already been laid down for us, we focus on practical life application by focusing on the skills that actors learn on stage.
