Sharon Gerdes - Artistic Director
Sharon Gerdes has been involved with theatre since she was eight, starting out with Family Playhouse and then Players of the Stage. Her major roles include Beth in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Nerissa in The Merchant of Venice, and Lizzy Bennet in Pride and Prejudice. Since becoming the Artistic Director at Players of the Stage she has directed The Best Christmas Pageant Ever twice, The Importance of Being Ernest, A Christmas Carol twice, The Miracle Worker, Pygmalion, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and The Prince and the Pauper. She adapted and directed The Little Princess, Anne of Green Gables, Tom Sawyer and adapted and choreographed a dramatic rendition of the book of Jonah.
In addition to directing and acting, Sharon is a playwright. She has written two original full length plays: Rifton Diner and Love Labors Happily Ever After. Sharon graduated from Northampton Community College in 2010 with an Associates Degree in Technical Theatre.
